Child again.
With you, I feel like a kid again,
motherly loved.
With you, I feel small,
even though I'm allowed to be an adult for years.
That little blonde girl,
born in Hoogezand,
are you still taking,
full of love and caring at hand.
I can feel your fingers observing.
They feel so different, they feel hardened.
Life brought you joy,
but unfortunately it also brought smart.
From time to time, you squeeze gently,
just short, just for a moment.
And it's like you're me
wants to give a message.
“We're still here Angelien,
we get some more time”.
Once again, you gently squeeze and say:
“Nice hey girl”.
I cherish the moments,
that have still been given to us.
