The Choices We Make

As I am writing this post, it's already June 2nd. Today it's an important day for me not only because it's a memorial day in my country.

Today, one year ago, I had to make a choice between who I was and who I was supposed to be.

I wish I could tell you more about it, but it's difficult to reveal too much. All I can say is that I think I made the right decision. This choice has affected my life forever. Many people had to make a choice just like I had to. Most of them chose the opposite. I don't have anything to tell them. I imagine they have a lot to tell me, but I don't feel the same way.

Sometimes in life, you'll be presented with situations in which you'll have to make a choice that will shape the rest of your eternity. Last year, I made such a choice.

And I don't think I'm ever going back.

Life is indeed about choices, we have to live with them and by them, but at the end it's our own choice and when we have the possibility to choose we are already rich. Some persons haven't even that, the freedom to choose and that is very sad.
