The classic mouse and the cat

#gaming One of my favorite games as a girl, and which I implemented in kindergarten in my internships.

This game is ideal for large groups of children. Among all the participants, one is chosen to flirt it (the cat) and another who will have to escape it (the mouse). The rest of the players will stand in a circle holding hands, facing the inside of the circle.

The children who are part of the circle, while the game unfolds, will sing the following song:

“Mouse that catches you, mouse that is going to catch you, if you don't get caught tonight, tomorrow will catch you”.

While this is happening, the mouse has to go in and out of the circle of children under their holding hands. The cat has to try to catch him; but the rest of the participants can block his way by lowering his arms.

When the league manages to catch their opponent, the roles will be changed: the cat will become the mouse, and another child in the circle will play the cat.
