We are exposed to the psychology of color as soon as we are born: girls dress pink, boys dress blue. Color has the power to evoke everything from femininity and masculinity to emotion and appetite. Lighter shades may suggest kindness, and darker shades may suggest authority. If we talk about tangible products, a Canadian study found that 90% of consumer first impressions are based solely on color.

The red color in particular is known for evoking strong emotions, passion and intensity. One study found that men dressed in red in athletic settings can inspire aggression and competition. Even in neutral situations, men wearing red were perceived as more aggressive and angry than men wearing blue or gray. In a 2009 study, Dr. Juliet Zhu found that blue suggests “knowledge, power, integrity and seriousness. It evokes a sense of calm while stimulating creativity”.

Women who wear red, on the other hand, are perceived differently. In fact, men claim to be more sexually attracted to women in red clothes and lipstick. Similarly, a study at the University of Rochester found waitresses wearing red lipstick earned higher tips than those who did not use that color.. Women perceive other women dressed in red as a threat, perhaps because this color is very tied to sexual attraction and provocation. Psychology about this color is based, for both sexes, on biological issues.

You may be right. Red is power an sexual too. Blue is also a very cold color I think. White however, used as the color for the dress of the bride is the color of purity and virginity and so on, all the colors have a meaning or a purpose.
