The Curse of the Workaholic: Why I Haven't Slept in a Decade
As a workaholic, life can sometimes feel like a never-ending cycle of meetings, deadlines, and emails. But for those of us who thrive on the hustle and bustle of the daily grind, there's nothing quite like the satisfaction of a job well done. That being said, it can also be pretty tough when you find yourself with nothing to do. While your friends and family are out enjoying life and having fun, you're stuck at home, twiddling your thumbs and wondering why you can't just relax like everyone else. If you're a workaholic like me, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Here are some of the ways that life can feel like when you're constantly working, and why it's so hard to stop.

You're always on the clock
As a workaholic, you're never truly off the clock. Even when you're at home, you're still checking your email, responding to messages, and thinking about your next project. It can be exhausting, but it's also what makes you so good at your job.
While you're at social gatherings, you can't help to think about your next big project or while showering you're debugging the solution to the bug in your code. I sometimes even dream of coding. That's how intense it is.
