#today   The decade 2020-2030 will have a very important significance, such as the decade in which the future of climate change is being played, and therefore the future of the economy, social welfare and the integrity of biodiversity, given the profound relationship between these and said phenomenon.

The Paris Agreement's goal of keeping Earth's average temperature increase below 15 ºC relative to the pre-industrial era requires reducing global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 50 percent by 2030.

What do you think would happen if that goal is not met?

The report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which was published at the end of 2018, refers to the high risk that the Earth will enter a path of extreme climatic phenomena, in the medium and long term, which could be catastrophic and out of human control.

Following the signing of the Paris Agreement in 2015, governments are very optimistic, others say that there is no reason for such rejoicing, since the glass was half full and half empty: it was not strong enough because the overall GHG reduction was expected to be below what was required (EL TIEMPO, 14 December 2015).

Here in the Netherlands there is a mentality of "we are to small to have an impact, better not do anything untill places like the U.S., Brazil and China are done". Passing the buck is a deadly, global passtime.
We need to be aware, we need responsible governments
How good it would be if we all added help to contribute to this
How sad that we let the planet be destroyed and the future of generations
Hopefully and truly they do, there are always people like some politicians who put personal interests before the good of humanity
