On a beautiful summer day
Busy in nature
Coronavirus makes the world sour
On which one can not do everything anymore

Why nature-loving Netherlands
plunges into Drentse hei
Or the forests of right there
I don't understand in right mind

Busy, cyclists, hikers
A lot of car traffic everywhere
Honking and tearing, so stupid
Pressing as something heavy

Nature-loving Netherlands
Celebrating holidays should
But don't you see what you're doing
What's going on?

Between the hustle and bustle in the forest
Walked along the edge
In the rulle sand
A straw loose just like that

No one saw it walk
No one was concerned with nature
Only with holiday fire
It's really drunk.

I saw the deer.
Maybe all alone
Where is it going with the world?
Why does it have to be so fast?

What's wrong with enjoying?
What's wrong with man
Does something not go to your liking
That you let something like that pass #hertje
