Step-by-Step Working Description

Supplies:

  • Styropor (styrofoam) ball approx 8/9cm
  • White washcloth
  • Cardboard coffee cup (2 for strength)
  • 1 Pack of Zigzag cotton wool, tuft of filler wool
  • White chenille wire, 2 wooden clothespins
  • 2 wooden beads, 3 rubber bands
  • black and red permanent pen
  • white craft glue, glue gun and scissors

  • Spin about 100 balls (1.5-2cm) of zigzag cotton wool 1 or 2 days in advance. This is because making the cotton balls is a lot of work, and actually quite time-consuming and a bit tricky for kids. 
  • Use a cup of water with a strong squeeze of white craft glue or white textile glue. Stir with a teaspoon. The most convenient thing is to prepare 10-15 tufts first, then teaspoon of water in your palm and turn it. The wetter you make them, the better and more beautiful they roll. but the longer it needs to dry.
