The Eigenheemer mystery
An exciting, mysterious story.
One rainy day I saw pass her by. She looked a little wild under her, badly dropped over her forehead, hood. She walked in large steps with her thin, green legs. She had something of a fearful hare, but also something of a determination about herself. What would she do? She had aroused my curiosity, seeing her, by chance, pass my house. What was she planning?
I didn't have a lot of contacts in the neighborhood, just the neighbor next to me. She did know some things about this neighborhood and its history. She lived here for about 25 years and had contact with a few people. I spoke to her myself maybe once every two to three months. I'm quite on my own and definitely do not belong to the socials of the neighborhood. I don't show up at neighborhood meetings or meetings. And that's fine. I'm not missed and I don't miss it.
But now it was waiting for a good opportunity to ask my neighbor about this woman. No, we didn't get together for coffee, we only spoke by chance, working in the garden, or emptying the mailbox, or when we met when we got home or left right away. Sometimes the conversations were no longer than 5 minutes, sometimes they lasted a little longer and we forgot the time.
