The elders and the games

#gaming My mother has an old age, and although physically well in health, her memory and skill have diminished and they begin to affect her development within the family circle and friends.
Games at these ages are recommended because they encourage the social part, are entertainment and fun and help to have an active mind. They also help to maintain a good mood, which is often lost over the years.
Studies have determined that reading, playing a musical instrument and board games are positive activities for memory, physical and mental health.
Some of these board games are, the couple game, also called memory game, crosswords and word games like Scrabble.
There are also the Sudokus that are the numerical version of crossword puzzles, deck games and domino highly recommended to keep them active.
My mother's passion apart from reading, is crossword puzzles and Sudoku, but occasionally we also play cards and ludo, a very common game in my country. I always let her win so she feels important and winning even though she really sometimes wins.
