#history Between 1532 and 1535 Giulio Romano made what can be considered his great masterpiece and one of the most outstanding creations of all Mannerism painting. We are talking about the wall paintings he made for the walls of various rooms of the Tea Palace in the Italian city of Mantua.

And among all that ensemble, without a doubt one of the most important parts is the room where he covered the entire space with the representation of the mythological scene of the Fall of the Giants.

When the spectator enters the room, the feeling of bewilderment is total, since every last centimeter of the wall is painted without any reference to the real space and there is no point of scale given to be able to measure it rationally and conceive it as a painting. Everything to immerse ourselves in that scene of monumental, gigantic atmosphere never better said.
