Since 2012 we have been with our ship in Groningen, an undervalued province, if you ask me. The landscape of Groningen is very varied and natural. The small villages are friendly and the residents are always helpful.

The bridges over the Hoendiep from De Poffert to the Van Starkenborgh canal are operated twice a day by Klaas., a super enthusiastic #brugwachter . With a little nice weather he will ride with you and then tell you about the history of the area. At 9 o'clock from Briltil to De Poffert and then back again, and in the afternoon he does the same route again. That means you have to get to the first bridge on time or you can wait half a day or half. Well, then you go for a walk there, no problem.
