#stories This is a mysterious legend that happened during the 17th century, and it is about a Dutch captain named Hendrik Van Der Decken, who was on his way to India on his brand new ship. In that, a severe storm struck his ship, to which the captain put up resistance, with strength and determination. By not trying to return, he challenged the authority of God, who was condemned to wander, with his boat, aimlessly, all over the ocean. Since then, legend has it that the ghost of the Flying Dutchman appears at midnight along with other souls in pain. Its appearance is also synonymous with the bad omen, for the captains who see it.
