The forest in the war

Soon it will be 75 years since we were liberated. Hence this beginning of the story(about 700 words), which takes place in the Second World War.
My challenge is: Do you write the sequel?

Two friends in the woods
Together they walk through the forest; 18-year-old friends Jeroen, Jacob and Jos. They don't just walk here for fun. It's 1943, it's war, and they're in hiding. But they're lost in their own forest. It looks like the enemy is trying to lurk them. It's like they changed everything here in the woods last night.

Suddenly they stand in front of a high watchtower. They look at each other and Jeroen whispers: 'This one wasn't there yesterday, was it? ' Jacob and Jos nod to him. βOh, no! What is this supposed to mean, Jeroen? ' , asks Jos (also in a whisper).
Then they see in front of their eyes a few guns pointing at themselves. They know they got caught. It is well wrong! And they suck. Actually, Jos only sees one way out. And that is... hands up and surrender. Exactly what he does.
Jeroen and Jacob look at him with big eyes. βWhat are you doing?β , asks Jacob aloud. And now it's Joss' turn to look out surprised - but also frightened - his eyes out. βWould there be a stitch on us, as my parents have said so many times?β
