The month of January at VPRO Tegenlicht is marked by the inequality gap. Years of liberalization and inefficient bureaucracy have meant that large groups of citizens fall by the wayside. And that requires a systemic change and a new look at solutions to inequality. But this gap is not new. In recent years, Tegenlicht has paid a lot of attention to this theme. In this video, we look at how we covered the inequality gap in previous episodes.
This video was created with the help of Archive of the Future. This online archive uses artificial intelligence to make more than 500 Tegenlicht broadcasts available and searchable in new ways. Using algorithms for image recognition and speech and text analysis, all broadcasts were converted into a dataset. Here, users can search for specific excerpts, quotes and even individual shots themselves.
