The handkerchief a didactic game for children

#gaming One of the best-known traditional team games is the handkerchief. In it, two groups with the same number of children are confronted, each of them being assigned a number.

Each player is paired with the opposing team who has the same number as him.

Teams are placed at opposite ends of a field, with a “judge” or extra player in the middle. He will hold a handkerchief, and in each round he will have to say one of the numbers out loud. The players of each team who have been assigned that number must run to the judge and try to get the handkerchief.

The first one who manages to capture him will have to run to where his team is, while the other one tries to catch him before he does.

If the player with the handkerchief manages to leave it at his base before the other player touches him, his team wins a point; otherwise, the rival team scores the goal. The game ends when all the numbers have been named, and the winning group is the one with the most points.

Personally, as a teacher in the area of children's sports, I firmly believe that it is an excellent game to encourage teamwork at an early age.
