What is an embracingEmbracar is to caress the other person's soul and provide him with shelter between our arms. A small gesture but full of feelings that heals and recomposes emotionally. Embracing is speaking the language of the heart.

January 21 is International Embrace Day, a date created by Kevin Zaborney, an American who worried about the few signs of affection people do in public even with his family members, thought about creating a holiday that will give them an excuse to do something we all like and that is giving and receiving hugs.

This anniversary was first celebrated on January 21, 1986 in the town of Clio in Michigan and was popularized in the United States thanks to the Chase Calendar of Events, a publication featuring all the local festivities of the year and owned by the grandfather of one of Zaborney's best friends.
