Once upon a time...

An beautiful princess was looking consort .
Nobles and rich suitors came from everywhere with wonderful gifts: jewels, lands, armies, thrones... Among the candidates was a young commoner who had no more riches than the love and the perseverance .

When it came time to talk, said:

— Princess I've loved you all my life.
How I am a man meager and I have no treasures to give you, I offer you my sacrifice as proof of love .
I'll be hundred days sitting under your window, no more food than rain and no more clothes than what I wear. That will be my dowry .

The princess, moved by such a gesture of love, he decided accept :

— You'll have your chance: if you pass that test, I will you betroy .

That's how they passed hours and days .
The suitor remained outside the palace, enduring the Sun , the winds , the snow and icy nights. Without blinking, with a fixed view on the balcony of his beloved, the brave subject remained steadfast in his endeavor without fainting a moment.

Occasionally the actual window curtain would let the slender figure of the princess, who with a noble gesture and a smile approved the task. Everything was going to a thousand wonders, bets were made and some optimists began to plan festejos .

When the day arrive ninety-nine , the inhabitants of the area went out to cheer up the next monarch. Everything was joy and delight, but when the deadline was an hour before the deadline, before the astonished gaze of the assistants and the perplexity of the princess, the young man rose up and, without giving any explanation, he slowly moved away from the place where he had stayed a hundred days...

A few weeks later, as he wandered around a lonely way, a boy from the region reached him and asked at close range:

— What happened to you? You were at a passing to achieve the goal, why did you miss that opportunity? Why did you retire?.

With deep dismay and poorly concealed tears, the commoner he answered quietly:

“The princess does not me saved not a day of suffering, not even an hour. I didn't deserve my love.
