The Leerorkest appeals to the musical tradition in Curaçao and gives all children a musical instrument in their hands. How fun and magical it is to learn to play violin, viola, cello, double bass, horn, flute, oboe or percussion and then play together in an orchestra!

Vision and goalsWith a Learning Orchestra in school, all children have the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument and make music together in their own symphony orchestra. Making music in a Leather Orchestra is good for the total development of children. They acquire all kinds of skills that make them stronger in their shoes. The positive effects are endless, such as strengthening one's own strength, the empowerment aspect. In Curaçao the artistic subjects have been cut down in most schools, the Leerorkest can turn that tide again.

A musical and social projectThe Leerorkest stands for a musical and social project. The project is more than just music.
