The Nether Update For Minecraft 1.16 Will Be Released This Month

Minecraft’s next significant update has been revealed by Microsoft’s Mojang Studios. The 1.16 Nether Update is a large update that brings new mobs, biomes, and other features to the game. The update will be available to Minecraft players on June 23.

You may recall that Mojang announced this update back in September during MINECON 2019.

Users on all platforms will be thrilled to learn that the 1.16 Nether Update will be released simultaneously on all platforms. This is significant, as it furthers Microsoft’s goal of making Minecraft a unified experience across all platforms.

Souls and Valley, Netherwart Forest Red, Netherwart Forest Blue, and Basalt Deltas are among the new biomes available in this update. In addition, four new monsters have been added to Minecraft: Zoglins, Striders, Piglins, and Hoglins.

Recent Minecraft Changes
A couple of significant events occurred in the realm of Minecraft last month. To begin with, Microsoft renamed Mojang to Mojang Studios. Second, the game sold over 200 million copies, solidifying its status as the best-selling game of all time.

It easily beats out GTA V (120 million units) and Tetris as the best-selling game of all time (100 million units).

“With the global release of Minecraft Earth, the release of the game-changing RTX beta for Windows 10 through our relationship with Nvidia, and finishing out 2019 as the most viewed game on YouTube, it’s been a great year for Minecraft. We are humbled that more than 200 million copies of Minecraft have been sold to date, and 126 million people now play Minecraft every month,” stated Helen Chiang, CEO of Mojang Studios, at the time.
