The obstacle of the road

A king put a big rock in the middle of the road, hindering the passage.
Then she hid to see if someone was taking her away.

The wealthiest merchants in the kingdom and some courtiers who simply passed they surrounded the rock. Many blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything to disengage the obstacle.

Then came a peasant who carried a load of vegetables. He left it on the floor and tried to move the rock to the side of the road. After pushing and fatiguing a lot, he succeeded. While he picked up his cargo, he found a wallet on the floor, right where the rock had been.

It contained many gold coins and a note from the king, indicating that this was the reward for those who cleared the way.

The peasant learned what the others never understood
