The parties against the future.
Science is very clear about it: eating so much meat is disastrous for the climate. It needs to be more plant-based, worldwide. A motion to bring this from NL to the climate summit has been rejected by the parties on the right.

Why eating less meat seems to be the only solution to stop soya imports (and thus deforestation). In 4 years, more than half of all the plant-based, protein-rich raw materials we need will have to be produced within the EU. That's what the National Protein Strategy says. So far, little has come of this and the import of soy is mainly growing.
Eat less meat, okay. But how do you change a food culture? What we eat determines the landscape, the state of nature, the climate and our health. They all go backwards. Two very different authors come up with the same solution: a society where we ourselves are much more involved in our food.
Eating less meat is the new normal. Meat substitutes are becoming increasingly popular. The vegan croquettes, meatballs and hamburgers are growing in popularity so rapidly that a run has arisen on the plant-based raw materials used for this purpose.
