After I climbed out of my depression, I decided to start up a facebook page full of positivity. a Garden of Wonders, as it were. Every day I post 3 positive quotes there, with or without a word of explanation and sometimes I also share my writings or something from someone else that touches me (of course always with permission).
Lately, however, there has been a negative reaction that became more and more fierce by 1 person. I had already contacted her privately and tried to help by listening and giving advice, but she was quite hard-leaned and not prone to reason. I found blocking her somewhat drastic because I realized that she was having a hard time too. So I looked at it leitfully. But this weekend, however, she became very personal and hostile by saying that I was a silly girl who was just a little cocky and had not experienced anything herself. In an open post without mentioning names, I did ask not to disfigure my positive messages with such a negative vibe and certainly not to judge me personally and whether or not I had the right to speak because of having experienced too little or nothing.
Immediately there were massive reactions to my post, all positive about how some people are the first to look at what I've posted again every morning and it gives them strength, makes them laugh or make them think.
Privately, however, I got a reaction that made me gasp and realize that I definitely had to go through with this. It belonged to a woman who suffered severe harassment at work and suffered depression as a result. and didn't even want to live anymore.
For a little over a year she read my quotes and texts every morning and they gave her the strength to get through the day, to try to see it differently and yes occasionally she even had to laugh about something funny that I posted. Every day, my quotes were little bright spots in her gloomy and dark existence and made her believe that things could be different. Her little daughter also saw the difference and was happy that her mom was getting happier again. She was looking for help and luckily she is now doing much better.
I was just perplexed and in tears after reading this. Never thought that my qoutes, which are sometimes done in my environment a bit laughable, could have a positive effect on 1 person and who therefore saw a bright spot of hope again and could move on.
THIS IS WHAT I DO IT FOR.
If a positive quote or text posted by someone unknown to you can already cause this. can you imagine what it does to someone if you give them face to face encouragement, put a heart under the belt or give them a pat on the back.
BE KIND TO EACH OTHER.

Just given the page a thumbs! And already came across a fantastic text about a lighthouse. Seen live last week (video probably to follow).
