Once upon a time, there was a princess who wanted to find a husband worthy of her, who would truly love her. For this she set a condition: she would choose a husband from among all those who were able to spend 365 days next to the wall of the palace where she lived, without separating a single day. Hundreds, thousands of suitors showed up for the royal crown. But of course, at the first cold half went away, when the heat started, half of the other half went away, when the cushions started to wear out and the meal was over, half of half of the half also left.
It had started on the first of January, when December came in, the cold began again, and only one young man was left. Everyone else was gone, tired, bored, thinking that no love was worth it. Only this young man, who had always adored the princess, was there, anchored in that wall and that wall, patiently waiting for the 365 days to pass.
The princess, who had despised everyone, when she saw that this boy was staying, began to look at him, thinking that maybe that man really wanted her. She had spied on him in October, had passed him in front of him in November, and in December, disguised as a peasant woman, she had left him some water and a little food, had seen his eyes and noticed his sincere eyes.
Then he had said to the king:
