The Puffin
It's like a bird from a Pixar cartoon. How beautiful this seabird looks. It's the puffin, and it's recognizable by its brightly colored beak. It is common in Iceland and is also the national symbol of the country. It weighs an average of 700 grams and has a wingspan of 50-60cm. He eats fish, crustaceans, worms and shellfish.
During the breeding season, the beak of the males turns red. This is done to lure the females!
Because of his appearance and funny way of moving, he is also called the clown of seabirds.

If you watch the video, see that he's coming in very funny, with his stiff paws. It's a special animal. He looks a bit like a penguin.
Of course, this is a protected bird, because it is threatened by the pollution of the sea and by climate change. Also, their nests are robbed by cats and rats, and they can get caught in the nets of the fishermen. And what is remarkable is that the Icelanders eat their meat! So that's not good either.
