#venezuela It is a Tepuy of the Jaua National Park - Ssrisariñama is located in the far west of Bolívar state Venezuela near the border with Brazil.

This plateau is one of the most isolated in the country, being hundreds of kilometers from the nearest road. Access is currently restricted, only scientists and researchers exclusively.

The most peculiar thing about this Tepuy of 2300 meters high, has circular cavities in its chasm that are still a mystery to geology.
These deep cavities are 350 meters in diameter in their mouth and 350 meters vertical depth equally.

These cavities say they have a unique ecosystem, there are species of plants and animals that are not found anywhere else on the planet.

These Simas were first explored and documented in 1974.
* In 1969, the first exploration was carried out with an aerial ride by pilot Harry Gibson.
* In 1974 the first successful landing was made by the ornithologist William H Phelps junior.
* In 1979 an expedition led by Charles Brewer Carias explores Tepuy, the chasm and the sinks, accompanied by scientists and researchers such as botanists, ornithologists and orchidologists.

Their results showed that both sinks present a unique ecosystem with many animals and plants.

There are four well known wells, two of them, the Sima Humboldt cave and the Sima Martel in homage to naturalists.

The largest Sima Humboldt reaches 352 meters wide and 314 meters deep.

These Simas are visually unusual, huge and well known with isolated forest ecosystems in the background of them.
