“The Sentimental Cathedral of the City of Valera”
On this occasion I want to show you through some photos I took (I am not a professional photographer) in the afternoon of a few days ago, one of the most beautiful and Gothic art constructions that is still preserved in the City of Valera, Trujillo State, Venezuela. By the way, this is my hometown, really the Church as such, has undergone multiple renovations in terms of its exterior, but it still retains its incredible and mysterious beauty, I tell you about the Church San Juan Bautista, located in front of the Bolivar square of this city. Which bears this name in honor of the Apostle of the Lord Jesus called John, who carried out in the Jordan River the baptism of the Lord Jesus Christ.
This construction, without wanting to speak of any particular religion, has its details, for example according to what I was reading, it is affectionately called the Cathedral, but this title is undoubtedly taken by the Church of Trujillo because the Bishop is found there. Another interesting fact is that its construction lasted 26 years and that in addition this Church is located in the site that formerly constituted the highest site in the city, apparently a site surrounded by hills, and its twin towers measure almost the same as the construction of the monument of the Virgen de la Paz which measures (46.72m), another emblematic monument of the city of Valera, these towers of the Cathedral of the City of Valera measure (44 meters), but really the highest church is located in San Cristóbal, in Táchira State, also of Venezuela, and these measure 70 meters.
This Church also has a twin sister in Italy in a village where there is also a hotel called Venezuela. Their side squares have also undergone several exterior modifications, before they had no bars and one could sit on them, they are currently trellis and are remodeling. I have the memory in my memory when I worked in a building located on the right side corner of this square, which was demolished and where a law firm was located, I always looked at this construction from very close.
I say goodbye, hoping, you liked my story, which is a compilation of what has been said before, and of some personal things, look below this beauty, and then you will tell me what you think.
