In the village where Freek lived, there was only one policeman, Sjef. That was enough, because in the village and the distant surroundings there lived only good, peaceful people. Sjef had a nice life as a policeman. Crime actually did not exist, and his work consisted mainly of correcting minor offenses and claiming young people to mischief.
The years passed and the day came when Sjef wanted to retire. Of course, that was not a problem.
A large plaque was immediately hung. Whoever wanted to take the position of Sjef just had to report.

Sommige dingen blijven raadsels...... maar het was géén pelikaan, want die zaten er gelukkig allemaal nog :-)
Vooral wijs dat hij de commissaris zijn eigen conclusies liet trekken en nu maar op naar de promotie
