The sunflower
The sunflower, scientifically known as Helianthus annuus , is a striking flower that immediately attracts attention with its bright yellow petals and impressive height. This flower is known for its unique ability to follow the sun throughout the day, a phenomenon called heliotropism. This means that the young flowers turn their heads from east to west, so they are always facing the sun. Older ones don't seem to do this anymore.
