“When I was a kid, my father regularly rented a bunch of horses and we went on trips on the beaches. These are still the best memories of my childhood, even though I regularly lazed on the hard, wet sand. But before I had the chance to burst into tears, my father started applauding.”

This story shares Bear Grills. His father did this to make it clear that you can't become a good rider until you fell off my horse a few times. I hear myself say things like that to my daughter when she's fallen with skeeling. You literally learn by trial and error.

That goes broader in life: no matter what your dream is (see tip 1 ), there is a chance that you will have a hard time. We all go on our beak sometimes. We make mistakes.
But it is precisely by making mistakes that you learn and get better. The other day, I heard someone make a plea to make ourselves more difficult. So suppose everything you do is so easy, without making a mistake or without failure, why not raise the bar a little higher? Disappointments and setbacks should be seen as part of a learning process.

“Tripping teaches us more about how to stay up than falling.”
