#YoorsCoronaPositiveChallenge The temporary bridging scheme for independent entrepreneurs (Tozo) is now in forceAs an independent entrepreneur, because of the corona virus, you can have no or little income. If you come with your income below the social minimum, you can rely on the “Temporary bridging scheme independent entrepreneurs (Tozo)”. This scheme complements the income up to the level of assistance in force. If this supplement is granted, the amount awarded does not need to be refunded.Corporate creditOn the basis of this temporary scheme, a corporate credit (loan) can also be provided by the municipality. The maximum amount of this credit is €10.157. This loan can be used for the firm's fixed charges. The amount borrowed must be refunded. The temporary scheme can be invoked for the period from 1 March 2020 to 1 June 2020, i.e. for the months of March, April and May 2020.When does someone qualify for the scheme:
- You are an independent entrepreneur (from 18 years to retirement age).
- You live and reside legally in the Netherlands.
- You are Dutchman or equated with that.
- You practice a business or an independent profession in the Netherlands.
- You comply with the legal requirements for the exercise of your own business (for example, you are registered in the Commercial Register of the Chamber of Commerce).
- You started with the company before 17 March 2020 and meet the time criterion; that is, at least 1,225 hours per year (around 24 hours a week) work will be carried out in your own company or in the self-employed profession.
- You live in a municipality and are registered there in the municipal basic administration.
How can you apply for the scheme:
- You can apply for the scheme online.
- The application can also be made in writing by downloading and filling in the application form “Temporary bridging scheme independent entrepreneurs (pdf, 316 KB).
- You can then scan the application form and email it to the municipality. The e-mail address is on the site of the municipality.
- Copy of a valid ID.For example, passport, Dutch identity card or residence permit (a driver's license is not a valid identity document for a benefit application)
- Extract of the registration with the Chamber of Commerce
- The last bank statement of the private bank account number and the name
- The last bank statement of the business bank account number and the name (only needed when applying for corporate credit)
- If applicable: a documentary evidence of your disability insurance
