The Vanished Necklace (2)
It #140w word for September is post sitting (or split form). This contribution of myself is a multitude of 140 words (2x140w)=280) en is een vervolgverhaal. So this has to be 2 times the word pole in occurrence or the split variant of it. Today the second part of my follow-up story. Lots of reading!
You can read the first part here: https://yoo.rs/140w-de-verdwenen-halsketting-een-nieuw-verhaal-van-sjerlook-olmas-en-dokter-watzoon-1630574625.html?Ysid=22086
When Olmas and Watzoon arrived at the chambers of Hector, the Count and man of Countess Castala Figaro, they immediately knew what time it was. The man hung high and dry hanging from a hook on a wooden pole. A letter was on his worktable. The words had faded because of the tears he had teared when he had been writing it.
“I'm sorry I cheated on you. It was wrong. I have been guided by my lusts. That was my only mistake. I've always loved to see you. I would never steal you. That's like a pole above water. See me sitting here with the blame of my infidelity. But I would be guaranteed to swear unconditional allegiance for the rest of my life. The stigma of a thief you gave me, also the fact that you thought I could do that, is too much for it. Goodbye, if there is a life after death, maybe bye. Then you'll know I'm not a thief.”
