The velocipede becomes a bicycle

#history On a commercial and industrial level, the velocipede or bicycle owe their boom to the Olivier brothers: three graduates of the École Centrale in Paris who lived in Lyon.

In 1868, they founded a company with another famous manufacturer of velocipeds, Pierre Michaux, and called it “Michaux et Compagnie”. Most of the manufacturers of the time used their innovations.
