In Mrs Groentje's garden, where the sun was always shining and the vegetables were happy, there was an old leek next to a young leek that had just come up.

The young leek, with its fresh green leaves, looked admiringly at the old leek with its long and wise stems. “Elder Leek,” she asked curiously, “do you have any advice for me? I want to grow and become strong, like you”

The old leek smiled kindly and bowed softly into the breeze. “Of course, young leeks! The most important thing is to be patient and take good care of yourself. Do you see that sun up there? It gives us life and energy. Stretch out to the sun and grow a little bit more each day”

The young leek nodded enthusiastically. “I'll do my best, old leek! But sometimes I feel a little wobbly because of the wind”
