#history A garment that revolutionized history, and synonymous with female freedom. It was in the 30s, when women in high society began to wear pants instead of the common suit of skirt and jacket.


The first Hollywood stars, such as Katherine Hepburn and Marlene Dietrich, who decided to take a groundbreaking and avant-garde turn in their wardrobe during the 1930s, shocked public opinion. Pants were conceived as a way to replace men, but this vision only lasted until the 1950s.
The pants have their origin in Celtic culture, some 2,600 years ago. But the word pants comes from Pantaleone, a character in a 17th century Italian comedy that represented an old Avaro wearing long pants.  Amelia Bloomer , a feminist and fashion designer, was the first to try to introduce pants to women. To do this, its design was inspired by the traditional Turkish costume, which consisted of a knee-length skirt that would be worn with wide pants underneath.


The woman with pants
