This is one of the legends that runs through the peoples of our countries, it is said that it happened in the regions of Barinas, there lived in the 19th century a very poor family made up of 6 members (3 males, 1 female and 2 parents) who owned certain crops and animals that due to their situation they could not sustain, this worsened when they became ill seriously the father.

Because of the wars waged in the area, the army found it necessary to recruit men, so they arrived at the family house, with promises of a better future for themselves and their family, the 3 men enlisted.

The father's illness was progressing and knowing the outcome of it, he asked his wife to sell what she had and go to the city in search of a better quality of life, she did not agree to live there until her husband expired his last breath .

Fulfilling her husband's wishes, they sold everything, the daughter wanted to travel to the city of Caracas, but the mother ruled out that they would go to Guanare, without pleasure the daughter accepted, the days passed waiting for the date to start the trip, the night before this the daughter without hesitation took half of the money collected and went to the destination that initially fixed. Arriving in Caracas, he got a job in a foreign restaurant.

The days passed and the young woman's economic situation improved greatly, despite having her mother and brothers in her thoughts, she did nothing to know about them because she wanted to erase the idea of being a peasant woman; the years passed and one day her mother entered to eat in the restaurant, she was without the slightest knowledge that her daughter worked in it, when she saw the daughter to her mother the feelings created a whirlwind of confusing ideas about her future with her you lie down, the young woman to avoid that made the decision to run to her mother accusing her of wanting to eat without paying.

Seeing her daughter and the attitude taken when she met again, she burst into tears, leaving the lazy place through the streets until she reached the surroundings of the Church, there she was approached by a stranger who comforted her, telling her that she witnessed what happened, the woman told the man in details and after a few moments he reached into his pocket and took out one coin which had the cross of St Andrew, I explain to him to go back to the restaurant and pay his daughter with that coin, but when he gave it to him he should say “Keep the change so that you buy malojo”, which in his country meant good wishes.

The mother did so, when she gave her the money and told her the phrase, the daughter wanted to answer her, but before she did, the young woman felt severe pain in her face and it began to change her, terrified everyone saw how he took the shape of the head of a mule, the young woman wanted to scream but only emitted moans of the animal, she went crazy she went out running from the place.

It is said that the ungrateful daughter learned about her mother's conversation with the man near the church. This is why the mule woman has been seen wandering around it, looking for the man who gave the coin to her mother, she thinks that if she finds him she will return to normal
