There are too many bullshit tracks.. They don't arise among people who are practically trained.. The plumber, service mechanic, painter, construction worker, healthcare worker and so on have proven to be indispensable in our society over the past pandemic year.. The perception of too many people still reigns the thought: the higher you are trained, the more important you are to society. That's the biggest ass..
Humiliating
Anyone who's been outside in the past few days couldn't get around it: flags with backpacks of proud parents whose children passed their exams.. I don't know that tradition from my own childhood.. My parents didn't know what purpose it all served, and besides, we didn't have a flag at home.. What also played was that we, my brothers and I, all three of us sat on a mavo, a department that manifested less exuberantly around this period.. For example, we didn't do exam parties at school..
I had to think of this when I heard this week that students from the VMBO's basic and framework, all of whom digitally took their exams, get their results a week later than the other levels.. Just for clarity: while mavo, havo, vwo and gymnasium pupils have been partying on terraces and social media for a few days since they ended up in the next chapter of their lives, their friends and girlfriends still have to wait. On the radio, I heard a teacher say her students felt this humiliating.. They told her, “Yes, ma'am, you know, right?. We're stupid, man. They think everyone about havo and vwo is more important.. We are nothing.“There may be people who will downplay and take it off as a victimization, but it is really going to be at the heart of a major problem..
I experienced the same thing on the mavo at the time.. I didn't care then, because I had all wanted plans to conquer the world, and other people's disbelief was my motivation to succeed.. Now that I am older, I find it disadvantaged that we are giving these young people an inferiority complex about their level.. We just need people who are practically trained..
I don't think those who gave these young people this bad feeling really had bad intentions.. It's a matter of awareness.. Maybe it (v) mbo needs more lobbyists. Bigger success stories. Because there are indeed. Tens of thousands.
