Tin cooker
This is a 50's cooker. But much was played with it in the 1960s too. The cookers were tinned and mostly white lacquered. They were very small. This one in the picture is approx. 17 cm wide and 10 cm high. It was created by a GDR company. I remember my aunts used to have one at home. When I was visiting my grandmother, I could play with it.

The stove included all kinds of aluminium pans; cooking pans, frying pans and even a milk cooker. There was also matching cutlery and cutlery tray, as shown in the picture below.

The nice thing about the stove was that you could actually cook with it. You could heat it with metablocks. Meta blocks were white, somewhat greasy cubes. The cubes were also commonly used for steam trains.

Can you remember these cookers?
