It is Friday when we start the car towards the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant (read Broabant). We entered “Landal Strabrechtse Vennen in Someren” on our TomTom. We pass Eindhoven and the closer we get to our destination, the greener and the more large pools and pools we pass.
I have to be honest, I hadn't been to this region any further than the airport to catch an occasional Ryanair flight. After four days of Noord-Brabant, that turned out to be a tragic mistake.
At Landal's reception, a very friendly lady gives us the key to our villa. It also provides clarity right away. That we are welcome here in “Beuven, the largest fens area in the Netherlands” and “we still have wishes”.
