The small town of Grayridge had one thing going for it—WGRY 98.3 FM, a local radio station known for its soothing evening jazz and quirky midnight mystery show, Whispers in the Dark. The host, Vincent Black, was a mystery himself: deep voice, dry humour, and always broadcasting from a dim, cluttered studio above the bakery on Main Street. No one ever saw him, but his voice was a local legend.
