Venezuelan Yulimar Rojas, 25, made history this Sunday by breaking the Olympic and world record, winning the gold medal in the women's triple jump in Tokyo 2020.
Rojas, the first woman in Venezuela to win an Olympic gold, reached 15.67 meters with an impressive jump, surpassing the Cameroonian Francoise Mbango Olympic mark of 15.39 m and the 15.50 m world record won by Ukrainian Inessa Kravets in 1995.
The 1.92 metre high Venezuelan jumper was the undisputed favorite in the Olympic final held this Sunday in Japan.
Portugal's Patricia Mamona was second with 15.01 m, and Spain's Ana Peleteiro came third with 14.88 m, a national record
