Blend specialist Ingrid was in a creative mood and challenged us for a creepy story.

One day, Ingrid was in a blending mood and started blending mindlessly. She almost blended herself to death (so to speak) and suddenly there was the moon giving her a spooky feeling. What if I end up in the middle of a horror story, she wondered in despair. Would I even survive that?
As that thought played through her mind, the doorbell rang. She peeked between the curtains, but there was nothing or no one to be seen. There you have it, she thought shakily. Soon, of course, the power will go out and I'll be in the dark.
DINGDONG! The bell rang again. With slightly trembling hands she pulled open the door and who stood there: the moon.
'No, you're not dreaming,' the moon said. 'It's really me.'
Ingrid nodded her head, but still she didn't quite believe it.
'May I come in?'
'A-a-allright,' Ingrid stuttered and took a few steps backward.
'Thank you,' said the moon and she tripped inside.
'Would you like to sit?' Ingrid asked.
'Yes, please,' said the moon as she sat down on the couch.
'Coffee?' offered Ingrid.
'Delicious!'
'Cookie with it?'
'Do you have any poppy seed biscuits? I love those.'
'What a coincidence,' said Ingrid. 'I just got those fresh this morning from the poppy seed specialist.' Ingrid sat down next to the moon with a cup of coffee. They ate and drank in silence. Finally, Ingrid couldn't hold back any longer. 'What are you doing here?' she asked the moon.
'Yes, well here's the thing: I was so impressed with your blend practices and that you found me suitable for a horror story that I just had to be there. After all, I love that enormously.'
'What?'
'Scary stories of course.'
'But I'm not in a scary story now, am I?'
'Are you sure about that?' replied the moon.
'I'm not sure of anything at the moment,' said Ingrid.
'What's missing?'
'Please don't let it be spiders,' mumbled Ingrid.
'A brilliant idea!' exclaimed the moon. She snapped a few invisible fingers and suddenly a whole horde of hungry spiders appeared and came running into the living room.
Ingrid screamed so loudly that all the glasses in the wine cabinet shattered.
She jumped up, tripped, and fell headfirst onto her keyboard.
Dazed, she looked up. What had happened? She looked around, but there was no spider in sight. The moon had also disappeared from her couch. The full moon was still on her screen, though. Blended and all.
Ingrid looked at the colors and the shape. It felt unnatural. It made her feel freezing cold.
'Enough!' she called out in the silence of the night. She bent over as her hand reached for the delete button...
