Taking a picture among sunflowers, learning more about this plant grown as food, oilseed and ornamental has become the biggest tourist attraction in the Atlantic Colombia .

Agrotourism should be the strategy that links the inhabitants of the city with the peasant; this raises the need to train farm workers, as tourist guides.

The 'Sunflower Route', is a strategy of the Atlantic Government to support the economic recovery, where there is a whole experience that accompanied the sale of artisanal products, gastronomic, family and market enterprises in the area, as well as kite flying, one of the greatest attractions of the ecotourism tour.

725 direct and indirect jobs that benefit 50 families, including day laborers hired for 45 days, 25 tourist guides per weekend per municipality, 15 stands between food, drinks and local products and 20 people linked in the administrative and operational part, people employed by municipality for weekendbeneficiaries of the Route of the Sunflower.

Half a hectare will be planted every 25 days, in a different area, to ensure that there is a field in permanent flowering, to be able to offer tourists, in the municipalities of Malambo, Suan, Juan de Acosta, Ponedera, Candelaria and Usiacurí .
