Travel blog day 20: Slovenia's Mostnica gorge
If you drive from Lake Bonhinj through the village of Stara Fužina, you will reach the car park (for a fee) where you can walk to the Mostnica River.
The cows' bells announce that you are in the mountains.
If you want to walk along the gorge, you have to pay, even if you just walk a dozen kilometers in nature.
The money is used to maintain the trail. (And it's also well maintained.)
At the start, you have to choose whether you want to walk the Mostnica gorge alone or take a longer walk through the Voje valley to the Voje (Mostnica) waterfall. The walk along the Mostnica gorge takes about 15 hours and is 4 km long. If you add the Voje Valley, you'll spend about 35 hours and walk 12 km.
