Travel blog day 7: Stara Baska and Punat
Shortly after noon, we drive to the south of the island, to Stara Baška.
We know that there are hard-to-reach beaches on the route, but we won't lose the car.
Finally, we put it just before the narrowing and when warning that the road is dead. We continue on foot.
After a while, we see that there is a car park within 2 km. We still think that's a long way to go down to a village, especially because we're walking on the road and there is little space to pull over when cars arrive.
But then we see a road that is only for pedestrians. We'll take a chance. It is a long descent, partly with stairs, and it takes us to a pebble beach. Not what we really wanted to see, but something anyway. A few boats have also found it and the beach is actually full of it.
We continue walking along these kinds of roads and come across several pebble beaches. In the end, we can't get to the village. It is very hot and we decide to start the climb back to the car.
