Travel without a passport

Traveling without a passport is possible, as long as it is to countries that allow you to travel only with your identity card or ID card. In the case of South America, you can travel with this document if you are a national of one of the member countries of the CAN (Andean Community) or the MERCOSUR group (Southern Common Market) and want to visit one of the countries that make up these groups. Therefore, you can travel to: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, using only your identity card or passport.

In the case of Venezuela, some countries make exceptions, others do not. Therefore, if you are Venezuelan, you must inform the relevant Consulate of the country you wish to travel to, if you can do so only with the use of your identity card. As long as the MERCOSUR withdrawal is completed, we can travel for a short time in those countries.
