Tree stump
A new week, a new theme for #vandeanedededge of @Mevrouw Dot...
This time: nature and plants. It took some head breaks to find a suitable subject, but my eye fell on an old tree stump in the backyard. Once it was a conifer, now an insect hotel for (iig) woodlice and who knows what else is in it. At first I wanted to capture the annual rings (seemed like a nice pattern on a picture), but the wood was actually too weathered for. In the end, I photographed the bark of the stump from all kinds of sides. With this result (and I would not be myself, if in this old stump I would not discover a face, with one eye achgut, too) #faceseverywhere
