Every week, I see two eyes,
they look at me for a long time staring at me from the newspaper.
Two questioning eyes, they are looking for some fun?
My thoughts always take me with me
and often I feel emotional.
In your eyes, I so often detect or misunderstand homesickness.
A different animal week after week and that's how it's been going year after year now.
The request for help is enormous, but who is ready.
Your eyes sometimes tell me stories from your past.
Then I sense the callousness and pain that you have suffered.
We don't always think about it, we don't always think about it,
but for many animals, life is a tough and bitter pill.
Your eyes, they sometimes crave love,
to a child's smile.
Sometimes your eyes just want a hug,
what you love dearly.
A home, a permanent place, warmth and affection.
Just be there for the rest of your life.
Yes simply speaking, are you looking for a loving person.
Someone who is interested and cares about your last wish.
Life can still be beautiful and valuable for you,
with love, pleasure and without pain.
An embracing warmth could still give you,
when someone looks at your longing pursuit.
I'm staring at your picture and I'm investigating who's talking
about your needs.
Who actually offered this request for help for you?
It's the animal shelter they're in the newspaper every week.
They have only one wish;
that you too will end up in a loving home.
