Uncertainty among entrepreneurs and employers?
When I started in HR, the labor market was stable. We posted a vacancy and we got a lot of comments on it. Candidates did their best to get that nice job. They're preparing well. A little nervous. The employer could choose. We went to trouble for each other.
The recession came in... mass redundancies were made for business reasons. But even after this time, the economy grew again. Companies again needed candidates to fill positions. There was even a conflict between employment agencies, secondment agencies and other employers. Employers quickly began to make concessions. And don't always wait for the best candidate to come along, as long as the position was filled. So the company could move on. Because they did not know if there would be enough candidates who could fill the position later.

I'm always looking for information in a human conversation. Where is the person's loyalty? What is the essential motivation? What are the norms and values? Has anyone thought about the function? Why do people want to work somewhere? With just a financial motivation, I can't do much. And that's not my interest, I want to see the person. Of course, I'm interested in what kind of salary someone expects in a position. But personal motivation is even more important to me.
It is imposed on us to stay indoors as much as possible. To avoid social contacts as much as possible. Violently. But Corona time can also be a time of reflection, looking at what's really important. Also in entrepreneurship.
This does mean that many employers have doubts. Do we have to hire new staff right now? Should we renew contracts at this time? Uncertainty about the future and cautious in the now. Which makes sense, because we've never seen this together with the generations of today. And this in a few days, such a change.
I think a lot of people get out of jobs because of the Corona measures. But I also think that many employers need people again after this shizzle.
