Uterus Bicornis and I
Following a blog by Kim Yoors, I would like to share my story about my congenital defect (s), namely Uterus Bicornis with a vaginal septum. That's a whole mouthful already, right? Below I try to make some more clarity. It's going to be a pretty long blog so I apologize for this.

Initial diagnosis: Uterus Didelphys with vaginal septum
In spring 2009 (I was 18 years old at the time), I suddenly suffered severe abdominal pain. I couldn't sit properly anymore, stand up, move, nothing. My friend and I then drove to the St. Vincent Hospital in Antwerp, immediately to the service.Â
We sat there for four hours. They pushed some on my stomach, asked how much pain I had etcetera, and diagnosed with “cystitis”. No urine steel diminished, nothing. I was absolutely unhappy with that diagnosis. I knew a cystitis well enough, I had it a few times before. My friend also saw me that it couldn't be cystitis. I simply had too much pain. Hop to another hospital for a second opinion: Klina in Brasschaat.
Less than half an hour later I was in the gynecology department with my legs in the air, so to speak. Internal and external ultrasound taken, some muttered voices between the nurses and a doctor who was taken. I got cold and hot at the same time: I saw something in my womb.
